Namaste, I'm Sarah-Dawn
Thanks for dropping by my page to learn a little more about me.

Born and raised on an acreage in Ardrossan, Alberta, my love of nature and animals grew at a young age.
I began training in competitive ballet, jazz, lyrical, modern, tap and musical theatre at the age of 4 and attended The National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and The Quite Ballet School.
After graduation, I continued to teach dance, became a flight attendant and then relocated to beautiful
Whistler, British Columbia where I began a career in banking.
I continued to teach and was fortunate to co-produce a program called The Whistler Kids Cabaret where I led dance and musical theatre alongside my partner, a brilliant actor/children's music creator, Ira Pettle.

In 2017, my life pivoted quickly after I lost my Nana. Nan helped raised me and she is my inspiration and truly my person. I had not been faced with loss of loved ones so I began searching for alternative healing methods aside from traditional counselling. I began learning about Shamanic teachings, working with local
Indigenous Elders and completed a Shamanic healing course.
Being close to the water has always brought peace to my soul and after going through a traumatic event at the end of 2020, I moved to the small island of Saturna in the Southern Gulf Islands at the end of 2021.
I live on a beautiful piece of land with an ocean view surrounded by deer, eagles, orcas
and all of the other island inhabitants.
Dance, movement and music have always been therapeutic to me, so again in my search for
deeper trauma healing in 2022, completed my 200 hour yoga/sound training with Tina Pashumati James
where my deep love of yoga really began.
March 2023, lead me on a pilgrimage to beautiful India.
With the intention of finding peace, I leaned into the rich culture and found much more than I could have ever imagined.
I embraced the deep roots of yoga and learned about the linage of my teachings.
I experienced the Holi festival in Vrindavan and was blessed in the beautiful Ganga (Ganges) in Rishikesh.
I was humbled with every step and my practice deepened even further when I travelled solo to
Coimbatore to spend a week at the Isha Yoga Center.
Although India was very foreign, it was very familiar to me and my heart and soul were cracked open and healed deeply.
Through my experiences and teachings, my wish is to provide a safe space for others to heal and foster
a fun learning environment for children to explore, play and grow.
This may be through a one on one session, yoga class, dance class, meditation or sound bath.
I look foward to being with you.
With love, Sarah-Dawn. xo
